It was a weekend of park trips.
Saturday, Gramma had come to visit, so we went to the one by the ocean.
We walked down the pier to check to see if we could see any starfish.
There were none to be found. I wonder if they migrate, because when it's warmer there are usually tons sprawled out under the pier.
We did discover a clever way that seagulls get clams.
Gramma noticed one just off shore enough to be floaty, yet still have it's feet touch the ground. Then it's little feet digidigdigdigdig, and the seagull bobed down and came up with a clam!
Then the kids ran of ya~yahs at the playground.
Antonio was most into the springy toys

Julia was content to go down the slide fifty-eight times.
Today, best girlfriend, our kids and I packed into her car and drove to this great park she's been telling me about for a while. She wasn't kidding, it's great.
A huge play structure, like a small town for kids. Plus a duck pond!
The swings were finally fun for Antonio, today he figured out how to get the swing to go on his own, with no pushing to help.
The tot area of the park was like a pirate ship. On a check in visit, Antonio climbed to the top of the ship structure, and yelled something resembling pirate-ese But not quite right.
Since I was nearby, I told him the correct saying was, "Ahoy ye Maties".
He bellowed "A hore ye maties!!!"
At least the other mommies giggled instead of looking at me shocked.
Julia went round and round up the play structure and down the slide.
The first few trips, she'd come to me, arms up and whine for me to put her back up at the top of the slide, but I took her hand and lead her to the stairs saying, "Let's go around".
Then she came down the slide, but instead of asking to be picked up, she pointed towards the stairs and garbled what must have been Monkey for "go around?" and I replied, "yep, up the stairs to the slide."

We picnicked and then walked over to the duck pond area.

We discovered that ducks do like popcorn, crackers, rice cakes and bread, but not cheerieos.
The pond resembled a cereal bowl with the snubbed o's floating around.
I forgot the mega-wee, but Julia was a trooper walking back to the playground. She just wanted to keep up with the boys, and did a pretty good job.
