Antonio turns seven today!
Each year I am amazed that I have been gifted with such a cool little guy.

We had a little pirate party for the scurvy dog.

All pirates enjoy good booty, and he was no exception.




We ended the day braving Chuck E Cheese and had a blast.

As I sit here trying to type up the last essay for my English class, I keep on getting drive by beatings from the little one.



She must think it's some kind of sprayer with all the psssshhhhhhhhttttt noises she's using.

The boy, as always, isn't too far away either.



Don't let his sweet smile fool you, he's just formulating the next dozen questions he's going to ask.

She has been busy since she first stepped foot in the house when we got home this afternoon.
I was 75% successful with keeping up with her, diverting her attention with the random snack and coloring book to encourage some stillness.
But sometimes a girl just has to curl up in a comfey spot and have a little chat on the phone.



After changing into something a little more comfortable, and waiting for the perfect opportunity when my eyes were not directly looking at her, she decides to rummage for a snack.




Starting to wonder why we didn't see the handle on the bottom drawer of the oven as a potential problem....

This is the back of the new gas stove that was delivered today.

Now Elmo is displaying the outlet for the old electric stove that said gas stove replaced today.




It sure would have been nice if that guy at the home improvement mega-store would not have said, "Yes" when I asked him if things were the same for the gas stove as the electric.
Gas line extender guys come tomorrow & I was so looking forward to trying it out tomorrow.
Now I have to wait until Friday, after the electrician comes to put in the correct outlet for this stove.

This was supposed to be the easy project.
After a whirlwind of roofing, window replacing, painting and carpeting, this was to be the icing on the cake.
It still will be, but not until Friday.

Antonio came home from school yesterday all excited about writing sentences.
He wanted to demonstate his skills and whipped out this short story.



He even read it to me, which was great, because I was having trouble with some of the words.
